Edward Sims has recently returned home from his time as CEO of Canada’s second-largest airline, WestJet. Prior to running WestJet, Sims led New Zealand’s air navigation service provider and state-owned enterprise Airways. 

His ten years in CEO roles followed a similar length of time on the Executive team at Air New Zealand. 

Before leaving his UK birthplace, Sims held significant senior leadership positions in the Virgin, Thomas Cook and Tui Travel Groups
